OMEGA SPEEDMASTER PROFESSIONAL MOONWATCH, GEMINI 4, LIMITED EDITION
ICONEEK price: 8’500.- CHF
Iconeek is proud to introduce here a fine, limited edition, large, asymmetric, water-resistant, stainless steel wristwatch with round button chronograph, registers, blue bezel with tachometer, two-tone dial and a stainless steel Omega bracelet: the Speedmaster Gemini 4. The present Speedmaster Professionnal was produced in 2005, in a limited edition of 2005 pieces to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the first spacewalk, reason why the dial is written in red « 1965-2005 » below the signature and applied steel Omega logo.
The model has a three-body construction: a solid, polished and brushed, stainless steel large tonneau-shaped case with brushed lyre lugs and round chronograph pushers, a screwed down case back numbered and engraved circularly in black at the rim: "40th Anniversary - First Spacewalk" with center sapphire colored medallion commemorating the first spacewalk with the words: "Gemini 4 - First Spacewalk - Mc Divitt, White », a snap on steel blue tachymeter bezel and an hesalite glass.
Under the glass, engraved with the Omega logo underneath, we find a mint and highly attractive two-tone blue dial with applied steel baton indexes and luminous dots, outer minute/seconds and 1/5th seconds divisions, sunk guilloché subsidiary silvered dials for the constant seconds, the 12- hour and 30-minute registers, luminous steel Baton hands. Inside ticks a caliber 1861, mechanical, manual-winding, rhodium-plated, 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber, self-compensating flat balance spring. The present watch comes with the original stainless steel Omega bracelet with integrated deployant clasp. Dial, case and movement are signed.
The model is described and illustrated in Moonwatch Only, by Grégoire Rossier & Anthony Marquié, pages 404 and 405.
