Iconeek is proud to introduce here a very nice and unusual steel chronograph by Jaeger (later Jaeger-LeCoultre). The model has a three body construction: a snap on inclined steel bezel bearing the plexi crystal, a circular shaped case with large faceted lugs, rectangular chronograph pushers in the band, a snap on steel case back engraved deeply with both case number and reference number. The inside case back is signed « Fab Suisse Eversteel ». The size between the lugs is 16 mm.
Under the plexi glass, we find a very well preserved slightly patinated silvered dial with raised pink dart indexes and Arabic 12, a minute division, an outer 1/5th second division with 5-minute Arabic numerals, an outermost blue tachymeter scale, three subsidiary guilloche dials for the constant second at 9, the 30-minute register at 3, the 12-hour register at 6, pink gold dauphine hands and blued steel register hands.
Inside is ticking a Jaeger signed movement, rhodium-plated, with column-wheel mechanism, self-compensating Breguet balance spring, monometallic balance with timing screws, index regulator. The chronograph bridge is signed « Jaeger Fab. Suisse ». Dial, case and movement are signed
Rare and unusual, the present watch is a perfect addition to any vintage watch collection.
Condition: 8.5/10, case with some signs of wear in places, due to normal wear, probably unpolished, the case retains its original finish, the movement is working and no signs of oxydation, the dial has naturally and slightly patinated, very slightly spotted in places. Overhaul recommended.
