Introduced in 2000, together with the Diagono Gmt, the Amplificator is an automatic chronograph with 5-minute timers, for an optimal reading of the elapsed time during regatta. Built in an 18K white gold case, the Amplificator is a solid, robust and elegant, water-resistant sport’s wristwatch from the Bvlgari Diagono collection. The Chrono Amplificator stands out for its distincly sporty character.
Water-resistant to 30m, the polished and brushed round case is set with a snap on inclined bezel engraved « Buvlgari- Bvlgari », a flat sapphire glass, hooded lugs, a screw down protected crown, screwed pushers and case back. The off-white dial is set with applied white gold baton indexes, four decreasing apertures for each 5-minute chronograph progressive countdown display using a white, blue and red colors disc, three subsidiary dials for the constant second at 3, 30-minute and 12-hour registers, white gold baton hands, outer minute/seconde division.
The watch is powered by a caliber 2027, a based Eta 2892-A2 with Dubois Depraz chronograph modul, 47 jewels, certified chronometer, mechanical, self-winding, flat hairsping, monometallic balance, shock absorbers, rotor engraved Bvlgari. The black leather strap comes with an 18K white gold deployant clasp. Case, dial and movement are signed. In 2000, the retail price was approx. 29’300 French francs. In 2005, the retail price was approx. 16'500 euros.
